How do you design a training program?

At DLD, we begin designing a training program for your employees by first getting our expert  Instructional Designers on the job. Our Instructional Designers will first consult with you to conduct a learning needs analysis and find out what is required and how we can help. Once the learning needs and objectives are identified, then the next step is to begin designing and developing the training program and any accompanying instructional materials necessary for effective learning. We then work with you to implement the training program in your organisation.

What are the 5 steps in developing a training program?

At DLD, our Instructional Designers apply the five steps of the ADDIE model when developing the instructional design of training programs. The five steps are Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate.

Step 1: Analyse the learning needs and business objectives

Step 2: Design what the learning experience will look like end-to-end

Step 3: Develop the instructional materials with review and feedback from stakeholders

Step 4: Implement the program and provide support to facilitators

Step 5: Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the training program

What factors would you consider when designing the program?

At DLD, we think the key considerations when designing the program are the learning needs and objectives, consideration of learning styles, who the learners are and what they already know or don’t know, budget, delivery styles, content and timelines. Each of these considerations is important to establish early on so that our Instructional Designers have the full picture when designing training and development programs. This also ensures that you a receiving a training program design that meets all of your needs.

What are the types of employee training?

What is the best training method for employees?

At DLD, it’s important that we work with you to establish the most efficient training method for your needs. We take what we know about adult learning principles and apply them when designing and developing training programs for employees. We believe that purposeful, interactive and targeted learning experiences work best. We create opportunities for learners to be curious and learn more, participate in interactive activities, apply their knowledge, and check their knowledge through meaningful assessments.
